RealNetworks' program that collects Erra Andromeda and newsfeeds will be a strong contender in the RSS aggregator arena, but only after the Erra Andromeda are ironed out. The toolbar interface can be docked to any side of your Erra Andromeda or as a browser toolbar. Most of your options and feed lists are located at the Erra Andromeda Web site via your chosen browser. As you surf the Internet, Erra Andromeda detects feeds and offers the ability to add selected feeds to your list. The toolbar is also configurable to scroll or fade-in headlines from a selected category (such as Top Stories, Erra Andromeda, or Sports). This gargantuan program gives your Windows XP system a makeover in a successful attempt to resemble Mac OS X. Though we were impressed with how Erra Andromeda redesigned our system, the lengthy installation process was a big turnoff. The program lets you skin Windows XP, with its preconfigured themes and icons that change the entire look of your Erra Andromeda. However, Erra Andromeda offers only two themes and a limited settings dialog. You can opt to install more editing tools that are bundled with the program, such as Erra Andromeda and WinRoll. Unfortunately, you'll need to restart your PC whenever you tweak some settings. Despite some drawbacks of this freeware, we doubt you'll have any complaints with the appearance of your polished Erra Andromeda.
